The Apostolic Congregation of the Consistory is the senior-most prefecture of the Roman-Ruthenian Curia and serves a significant role in support of the pastoral mission of His Holiness the Roman-Ruthenian Pope. Its purpose is to oversee and support the various patriarchates, primatial Sees, provinces, and dioceses of the world in communion with the United Roman-Ruthenian Church. It is normally headed by a Cardinal, but if none is appointed, then the prefectural authority is vested in the Prefect of Faith and Doctrine.
